We’re Tom and Devon, a husband-and-wife team who fell hopelessly in love with Italy on our honeymoon 15 years ago. Since then, we’ve traveled across Europe with our family, but Tom’s Italian roots kept gently pulling us back to Puglia — and especially to the beautiful Baroque town of Martina Franca in the heart of the Itria Valley.

What began as a dream inspired by Under the Tuscan Sun (well… Under the Puglian Sun) became a reality when we found and restored our historic stone homes in Martina Franca’s historic center.

Puglia Escapes was created to share everything we love about this region: slow living, timeless architecture, unforgettable food, warm hospitality and the magic of staying inside the whitewashed streets of southern Italy.

Martina Franca is not only a destination in itself — it’s also the perfect home base for exploring Puglia and the surrounding Itria Valley towns of Ostuni, Alberobello, Locorotondo and Cisternino. Within an hour, you can reach the Adriatic coast and spend the day in Polignano a Mare, Monopoli or Savelletri, then return in the evening to the quiet charm of the historic center.

Our vacation homes in Martina Franca are designed to help guests experience Puglia not as tourists, but as locals — waking to church bells, wandering cobblestone streets, enjoying long dinners in Piazza Roma and ending evenings on a rooftop terrace under the southern Italian sky.
